Senior Software Developer

As a Senior Developer at Perceptyx, you will be a key member of a team of professionals, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced software applications. In this role, you will architect scalable and high-performance software solutions, write and review clean and efficient code, and mentor junior engineers.
You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and engineers to ensure seamless integration with diverse technologies. Additionally, you will lead and oversee the entire software development lifecycle—from concept through deployment—ensuring best practices are followed throughout.
Things You'll Do:
- Lead and contribute to complex technical solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and projects.
- Shape software architecture by designing integration components and ensuring alignment with industry standards and long-term strategy.
- Build and implement scalable, maintainable code that meets product requirements using best practices for performance and reusability.
- Own end-to-end solution delivery, including architecture, hands-on development, technical oversight, release planning, and implementation.
- Drive requirements gathering and source system analysis when acting as a senior analyst, with a deep understanding of data flows and operational use.
- Develop integrations and messaging systems, with strong expertise in APIs, service communication patterns, and automation of repetitive workflows.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate across disciplines, working within Agile/Scrum teams to prioritize and execute development tasks.
- Analyze and debug complex systems, including reverse engineering, issue resolution, and performing code reviews.
- Conduct validation and performance testing, ensuring reliability and system effectiveness.
- Write technical documentation and monitor systems post-deployment for stability and continuous improvement.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements that improve functionality, performance, or scalability.
- Support ad hoc reporting and data summarization to help leadership and stakeholders make informed decisions.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated progression in scope and responsibility.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering scalable backend systems and modern front-end applications.
- Hands-on experience with API design and development for distributed systems.
- Proven experience with the following tech stack: Golang, ReactJs, MySQL, AWS, Python, PostgreSQL.
- Cloud Experience: Proficient in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, SES, SQS, Lambda, and IAM, with experience deploying and managing production workloads.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Hands-on experience with tools like Cypress for end-to-end testing. Solid understanding of test automation, including unit, integration, and regression testing practices.
- Monitoring & Observability: Familiarity with tools like Datadog and Splunk for logging, monitoring, and alerting
- API Development: Experience building RESTful APIs, and familiarity with API versioning, rate limiting, and documentation standards (e.g., Swagger/OpenAPI).
- AI-Assisted Development: Familiarity with modern AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar tools to accelerate development and boost productivity.
- DevOps Collaboration: Comfortable working in CI/CD environments; experience with containerization and cloud-native deployments is a plus.
