Information Security Engineer
Are you passionate about building and maintaining secure systems that safeguard critical data? At Perceptyx, we’re looking for an experienced Information Security Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping and supporting our security infrastructure. In this role, you’ll work directly with the VP of Information Security to help steer the technical direction of our security program, ensuring our information assets are protected from evolving threats and aligned with all regulatory and compliance standards. As a role model for the team, you'll also lead by example—guiding and mentoring junior engineers while making a direct impact on the strength and resilience of our organization’s security posture.
Things You'll Do:
- Incident Response: Technical lead on incident response using DAIR method from discovery through remediation.
- Purple Team: Provide and implement compensating solutions to issues discovered through threat hunting.
- Security Architecture: Design and implement technical controls that reduce risks, cost, and have minimal business impact. Remove outdated or outmoded controls.
- Application Security: Ensure product is secure using DAST/DAST/SCA and aid engineering in Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
- Mentoring: Transfer skills and knowledge to junior team members and foster a culture of openness and curiosity.
- Project Management: Lead complex technical projects with security and other teams.
Things You'll Bring:

- 5 - 7 years of professional experience with at least 4 years in dedicated security roles.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Must have worked in a SOC 2 / ISO 27001 environment. Preference for candidates familiar with FedRamp.
- Purple team mindset with experience within offensive security and defensive mitigations.
- Proven history working with Engineering teams on diverse problems from vulnerability management to architectural design.
- Familiarity with the practical application of information security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrable practical application of current security models, technologies, trends, and techniques.
- Solid understanding of current and emerging security threats and mitigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Compensation:
Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. The annual salary range for the role is 130,000.00 - 140,000.00 CAD. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
