Perceptyx is currently seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our Activate team. In this role, you’ll contribute to building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems that help organizations take meaningful action on employee feedback. You’ll work primarily on backend systems while having opportunities to collaborate across the stack. Some of our solutions incorporate LLM-powered capabilities, and we also focus heavily on intelligent nudges to drive behavior change. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to deliver thoughtful, high-impact features.

About the Activate Team:

The Activate team is dedicated to bridging the gap between insights and action through AI-assisted action planning and intelligent nudges. Our work empowers organizations to drive behavioral change, ensuring that feedback doesn’t just get collected—it leads to meaningful improvements. We're now expanding our focus to LLM-powered solutions to enhance decision-making, automate workflows, and personalize employee engagement strategies. Things You Will Do: 

  • Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain applications using PostgreSQL, Python, Go, TypeScript, and React (70-80% BE Engineering work).
  • Product Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to turn ideas into high-impact features.
  • Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Scalability & Performance: Optimize backend and frontend systems for performance, scalability, and security.

Qualifications: 
Please note: Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada without needing an employment VISA or other sponsorship help.
  • Experience: 0 to 3 years of professional experience, full stack software engineering is a big plus, and we also welcome Backend Engineers who are okay with performing occasional frontend work. 
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency or strong familiarity with Python and PostgreSQL. Exposure to TypeScript and React is a plus. Experience with Go is also a nice-to-have.
  • Team Skills: Strong communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working in a remote, cross-functional, agile team.
  • Code Quality: Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Growth Orientation: Interest in learning modern development practices, including DevOps (e.g., CI/CD, containerization), and emerging technologies like LLMs and GenAI.
  • Problem-Solving & Ownership: A proactive and solutions-oriented approach and mindset.
  • Communication & Organization: Solid collaboration and organizational skills to work effectively with teams.
  • Environment Experience: Comfortable working in an agile, iterative development environment.

Compensation:

Perceptyx is focused on equitable pay for all our staff and aims for transparency with our pay practices. The annual salary range for the role is $105,000 - $145,000 CAD. The above range represents the expected base salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in the role, business line, and geographic/office location.
